Atleti also arrive into this game on the back of a comfortable victory, with theirs coming against Getafe on Wednesday.

Ademola Lookman‘s brace had Diego Simeone’s side up by two goals by the 35th minute, before Getafe’s Alvaro Gutiérrez halved the deficit.

But Arnau Ortiz was on hand in the 55th minute to restore Madrid’s two-goal advantage, and Obed Vargas put the icing on the cake when he converted a penalty in the 90th minute to secure a 4-1 win.

After this game, United will take on Paris Saint-Germain while Atleti will face Manchester City.
